While the past year has been difficult for the arts community, the Oak Park Area Arts Council (OPAAC) has continued its steadfast support and advocacy for the arts. Young creatives were hired for Off the Wall, OPAAC’s summer arts employment program. Artists were given the opportunity to showcase their art in the lovely gallery of a local community bank. Artists were commissioned to create murals for the Community Mini Mural project. Concerts were presented in backyards for essential workers, many performing arts groups went online via Zoom to present concerts, dance performances, lectures, and informational webinars. The arts kept all of us going, doing what only the arts can do.

The OPAAC ArtsFunds regranting program helped to fund 34 (listed below) remarkable and worthy non profits this year. We are fortunate to live in this uncommon arts community that enriches our minds and hearts every day. As the arts venues start to reopen and return to their pre COVID 19 in person programming, your financial support is needed.
